makoto's listening room #19

i explain the titles a little that i chose for Makoto's Listining Room in this week.

-Bill Macadoo / Sings [Folkways]

i don't know any informations about him even he is the black people or white people...(i guess he is the black guy.) when i heard this record first time, i felt very strange...what this music was!!! i love old Delta Blues and old country music...but i couldn't understand this was blues or country music...also his vocal is very strong and unique for me. if anyone knows about him, please let me know to write here.

- Howard Wales & Jerry Garcia / Hooteroll? [Ryko]

i saw a dream about Jerry Garcia just before a day he died. so when i could know he died, i was very surprised... anyway i love Grateful Dead, also his solo works too. especially i prefer it than other his solo or session records. although he uses waw and fuzz on it ( i think not so good...), i like this soul jazz record. he is the one of great guitarist for me, nobody can play like him. of course there are many "fake Garcia" in the world, but their playing are completely different! Garcia had never played like "fusion"... so i have a question to these kind of very boring "fake Garcia" guitarists why they cannot understand about it... it's answer "of course they will never understand it forever! because they are there (otherside), Garcia is here (this side) !!"

- Glen Branca / Symphony No.6 30-1-88 at Q.E.H. [?]

this is a bootleg LP. i prefer this live version to the studio version. the sounds are more powerful like more Rock! i guess many "Post Rock" musicians are affectted by him a lot... i don't like any post rock (verrrrrry boring!), why they'd never gotten any influence of his musical power??? John Cage called about Branca's music "Fascist of music (sorry i don't know the right English words...just translattion from Japanese words)"...yes, i understand what mean John Cage wanted say, but why this music is bad!? i don't like John Cage's music ( i prefer only his concepts...his music make me boring always...). yes, Glen Branca's music makes people afraid by so much musical power! in short his music is so strong!
