i explain the titles a little that i chose for Makoto's Listining Room in this week.
she comes from the Cantabres Mountain...i don't know where...maybe Spain? (because the title is "Mes Espagnes", and she sings Spanish...) i love Spanish 13th and 14th century music too. although it is more current trad song also not troubadours...like kind of gypsy songs. the sounds are very nice by her beautiful voice with many acoustic instruments. i was surprised she could sing many color beautiful voices... Tsuyama tought me this album. this French label has released many great titles always. if you can find any titles, you shoud check it up.
i don't like Black music...i like only country blues and some parts of jazz. Son House is one of my favorite blues singer. when i listened his record first time, i couldn't understand how he played his vocal and guitar same time. i felt same atmosphere to Beefheart.(of course maybe he was influenced by Son House very much...)
i like J.J.cale very much. this is the bootleg, i think that this bootleg is more better than his studio recordings. i don't like too clear sounds especially any tracks featuring good vocals. also i feel same atmosphere to Maquladola. i will never be able to play like this...because this is the real American psychedelic sounds! so i hope more American people will prefer this kind of great music to Kraut Rock. if more people aware of their great music, more groups will make more great music.
