i explain the titles a little that i chose for Makoto's Listining Room in this week.
this is Occitan trd trio. they play very traditional style close to troubadours. maybe some people feels Occitan trad music has a little oriental atmosphere. of course they have their long history to meet other cultures... i'm very interested what different cultures cross over each others.
maybe you know MEV (Musica Elettronica Viva) that was released 2 fanouse albums. this cd series have very cheap photocopy jackets, but the music is great! some people said to me some members play still now! it's very interesting! i really want to see them!
maybe you know Damon too... i love his first album for a long time. but a couple years ago i found this Damon's 2nd album! then i couldn't believe...because this album was his new recordings with the original "singing guitarist" Charlie Carey!!! all tracks' sounds are almost same to 1st album...so he've never changed while very long time. i listened it 100 times more. i prefer it to 1st album now, because his singing becomes more mellow and has so deep love. i can feel same mind to John Fahey's Hitomi album. this is one of the sweetest music for me.
