i explain the titles a little that i chose for Makoto's Listining Room in this week.
this album is one of Occitan polyphony. it's too beautiful... we'd like to sing like this, but my singing is very bad...oh man...
i like Bartok, so i've tryed to find any recordings of his own playing. still now i could find only this one. but it is great session, because he plays with Szigeti! i prefer this session to any improvisation by "boresome" free jazz musicians! they play Beethoven, Debussy and Bartok's songs on this album.
maybe many people prefer his acoustic guitar work to electric. but i love this album... because i feel this album had very personal meaning for him... i can understand why he made this album... under this kind of situation, always any musicians can make very beautiful albums. and i'd love to make this kind of album too in some day... i got it at his last concert in Nagoya, then i was the opening act as solo... you know he died after this Japan tour.
